BRUTUS
Issue-Based Brutalist Magazine
$99
BRUTUS is a brutalist, issue-based magazine template for Framer. Designed for publishers, studios, and independent creators, it organizes editorial content by issues with CMS-driven 3D covers, category hierarchies, archives, and responsive design.
About this template
BRUTUS is a fully-featured, issue-based magazine template built on brutalist design principles.
For studios, publishers, and independent creators who understand that editorial design is about conviction - not decoration.
The core idea: magazines organized by issue, not reverse chronology.
Most magazine templates are blog templates with a different name. BRUTUS is built around how magazines actually work: issues as containers, categories as hierarchy, archives as navigation. Led by typographic grids and clear structure.
What's inside:
Issue-based CMS - articles connect to issues; readers navigate by issue, not just by date
3D magazine covers - fully editable, CMS-driven; titles, numbers, and cover colors update straight from the CMS
5 sample issues, 20 sample articles - full editorial content, ready to study or replace
3 editorial categories - Editorial, Raw Cuts, The Edit (fully customizable via CMS)
Complete CMS setup - Articles, Issues, Authors, and Categories collections
Author profiles - roles, bios, and social links
Image + video covers - still or dynamic
Article pages - reading time, issue reference, prev/next navigation
Archive - full article index with dates and issue labels
Search & filtering - readers find articles fast
Light & dark mode - brutalist in either
Live article ticker, newsletter signup, about page
Responsive - desktop, tablet, mobile
Make it yours in minutes: the magazine title is fully editable - swap BRUTUS for your own name, covers included.
Built for: independent magazine founders, design studios building an editorial presence, architecture practices sharing thought leadership - publishers who believe structure is a design material.
Customize everything through Framer's design tools and CMS. Connect your newsletter. Publish to your domain. No coding required.
