Dogpedia - An Interactive Dog Breed Encyclopedia

Dogpedia is an immersive, game-like catalog built entirely in Framer, featuring 104 of the world’s most popular dog breeds. Moving away from traditional, rigid grids, the project places users into a sprawling, retro-inspired infinite canvas. Here, dogs wander across a vibrant pixel-art field, each beautifully rendered in a custom low-poly 3D art style.

Key Features:

Fluid Map Navigation: Seamlessly drag, pan, and zoom across the world with physics-based momentum that makes exploration feel smooth and alive.

Retro Pixel Aesthetic: A cohesive 8-bit visual experience utilizing stylized pixel fonts, themed UI elements, and contextual hand cursors that adapt as you browse.

Detailed Breed Overlays: Clicking any dog brings up a dedicated profile detailing its origin, weight, lifespan, traits, and unique characteristics.

Visual Stat Bars: Quick-glance rating scales for essential behavioral and care metrics, including energy levels, friendliness, intelligence, barking/vocalities, and grooming needs.

Rarity Classification: Breeds are grouped into status tiers (such as Common, Uncommon, or Rare) marked by distinctive, color-coded badges.

Immersive Audio: Experience custom audio playback featuring real barking sounds for individual breeds, accompanied by a cozy, built-in lofi background music player.

Night Mode & Framer CMS: Easily toggle a dimmed canvas for comfortable late-night viewing, all powered by a robust CMS architecture handling 23 detailed fields per breed.

Dogpedia demonstrates that Framer is capable of far more than standard landing pages - it serves as a powerful platform for building rich, interactive, data-driven ecosystems without ever leaving the native environment.
