Millwright is a contract manufacturing template that publishes the number a quotation never prints: the quantity at which tooling stops dominating what each unit costs.

On its own shipped defaults, a supplier quotes $4.20 a unit at 1,000 pieces. The landed price actually paid is $14.04, 3.34 times the quoted rate, once an $8,000 tool, freight, duty and scrap are spread across the order.

The home page opens on that gap directly: a field of 400 shaded cells, one per four-hundredth of the landed price, tooling taking 228 of them at 1,000 units, the quoted and landed rates printed side by side.

The break quantity gets its own page. At 1,867 units tooling stops being the largest share; at ten times that, the landed price still only reaches $4.99, never the $4.20 quoted, because freight, duty and scrap do not amortise the way tooling does.

A tooling page names the three ways a supplier recovers that charge: a separate line, folded into the rate, or spread across a volume you never agreed to. Published sources describe all three happening; none says how often, so this page does not either.

Six parts and six materials sit in their own CMS collections, each part carrying its tooling class, supplier minimum and quantity-break table. The ratio between quoted and landed runs 1.48x to 5.41x across them.

A request-for-quotation form collects the part, quantity, process and tolerance a visitor actually has, with its own acknowledgement on submit.

Thirteen pages including lead times, landed cost, privacy, terms and a custom 404, eleven colour tokens, nine changing value between schemes, Archivo over Martian Mono, figures set in tabular numerals.

No photography and no renders: the argument is carried by the instrument itself.

The shipped defaults describe injection moulding. Millwright is a demonstration template; every supplier, part and price on it is invented, and a CNC, sheet metal or PCB assembly shop would need its own numbers before the page means anything for them.
